If you are a teacher who has completed your degree or teacher training, you should apply for VIF's teacher program. Teachers in this program should be prepared to live and work in the U.S. for a minimum of two years. Please note that applying to VIF is a competitive process that can take several months to complete. Teachers accepted into the program often wait one or two years before they move to the U.S.
To begin the application process, first register online. VIF receives many inquiries from teachers, but we only have a limited number of positions to offer each year. When we are ready to consider applications from teachers in your country and in your subject area, we will invite you to complete an application. Invitations to apply will be sent via email. Registering for the program is easy — Complete your registration form today.
If you have recently graduated from a Latin American university with a bachelor's degree in education but do not have three years of teaching experience in a classroom, you should apply for VIF's teacher trainee program. The trainee program allows teachers to work in a US classroom for one school year and is currently open to Spanish-speaking teachers from Latin America only. Please note that the benefits and requirements for VIF's teacher trainee program differ from those for the teacher program. Start your trainee application now.
