This three-day workshop provides training and assistance to high school Spanish teachers who currently work in or aspire to work in an IB high school. The training provides an overview of the Diploma Programme, the curriculum requirements of Spanish B, assessment criteria, texts/resources and a discussion of the program course outline of the school application process for those schools that have decided to apply for IB authorization.

This three-day workshop provides training and assistance to high school Spanish teachers with at least two years‘ experience teaching Spanish B as part of the IB Diploma Programme. The workshop will discuss and analyze the IB Diploma Programme standards and practices. Participants will engage in discussion and activities aimed at sharing of pedagogical techniques such as classroom best practices, teaching and learning methodologies, and sharing resources. The workshop discussions will enhance participants‘ understanding of assessment to ensure that teaching and learning activities promote student achievement and address subject-specific assessment criteria, both internal and external. In addition, participants will make connections between the Diploma Programme framework and practice.
