VIF Teachers celebrate International Education Week

International Education Week (IEW), a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, is an opportunity to celebrate international education and exchange.

Teachers from the VIF Program will hold a number of classroom and school-wide activities to celebrate this year’s International Education Week, which runs from Monday, November 12 through Friday, November 16.

Here are just a few of the creative ways VIF teachers are celebrating IEW:

• One Love Jamaican Jamfest - Rochelle Middle School (Wednesday, 11/14)
• World Map Painting - Steele Creek Elementary School (Wednesday, 11/14)
• An English Tea Party - Carrboro Elementary School (Friday, 11/16)
• Class Presentations of England, Ireland, and Scotland Seagrove Elementary School (Friday, 11/16)
