VIF Program Hiring Process
VIF provides its job candidates with the highest level of care. We listen as you share your interests, goals and talents and treat you like a valued customer. Our hiring decisions are based on an objective evaluation of your skills, experiences and competencies.
We follow a three-step hiring process designed to be quick, yet thorough and personal. These three steps are described below. If you have any questions about this process or would like details about available job opportunities, please email us at jobs@vifprogram.com.
Step 1: Initial Recruiting
Initial recruiting begins when you first become familiar with VIF -- for example, as you explore our Web site, meet us at a career fair or see our ad in the newspaper. During this time, you can find out whether our working environment fits your style, decide if you have a passion for our mission and investigate available positions.
If you are interested in a particular position, you'll submit your resume, cover letter and salary requirements. Then, we'll carefully review and assess your credentials, experience and background. If you have what we're looking for, we will contact you to arrange a telephone or personal interview between you and a VIF representative. If you are not contacted, please know that we will keep your information on file and will consider you for future openings.
Step 2: Interviews: By Telephone or In Person
The interview is your opportunity to tell a VIF representative more about your background, goals and interests and to learn more about the position and VIF. In addition, you'll both evaluate each other to determine whether you and VIF would be a good match. After this interview, if we feel that your experience meets our requirements, we will schedule you for a second round of interviews with additional VIF staff members. We conduct reference checks on candidates we are seriously considering for a position.
Step 3: Hiring Decision
Final selection is based on your application information, interviews and reference checks. If you are selected for the position, a Human Resources staff member will phone you to make an offer. The offer will include salary details and any other financial or benefit information that you may need to make your decision. When time permits, all other candidates who applied for the position will be notified by email or mail that the position has been filled.
Job candidates may contact the Human Resources Department at jobs@vifprogram.com to check on the status of their applications or to inquire about our progress in the selection process for a particular position.
