IT Intern

Summary

This staff person will be responsible for set up and maintenance of all technical equipment for VIF Orientation. They will be in charge of preparing all desktops, laptops, and printers for installation at the Orientation site.

Essential Functions

Each Tuesday and Wednesday this person will set up each session presentation room and ensure presenters have materials needed for presentations that day including:

  • LCD
  • Screen
  • Laptop
  • Presentation
  • Handouts
  • Overheads (if applicable)
  • Appropriate presentation room amenities

This person will be available for first level workstation support to Orientation staff while on-site at the Hotel. They will also offer help on an as-needed basis for general Orientation duties as directed by the Orientation coordinator.

Each Thursday and Friday will be dedicated to workstation support at the VIF office.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Familiarity with common Microsoft applications and IT processes.
  • Ability to determine computer problems and to coordinate hardware and/or software solutions

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma
