Marketing Web Producer/Project Manager

Summary

The Marketing Web Producer/Project Manager will own and drive web strategies and associated implementation and development of www.vifprogram.com and related web sites in concert with both corporate and brand strategies. This person will establish the strategic design and communications plan, and maintain quality assurance and timeline oversight through implementation. They will be responsible for producing content for the site and managing the content from other departments. This is not a web design position; however, knowledge of web design practices and current web technologies is essential to the success of the position.

Essential Functions

  • Increase traffic to websites by developing and executing strategic Internet marketing efforts
  • Create new content and edit existing content; work closely with multiple departments to set editorial calendars and manage the accumulation of content.
  • Ensure web content is accurate, fresh, relevant and consistent with brand and editorial guidelines
  • Optimize user interface and website navigation
  • Encourage and advise on the use of additional technologies such as (but not limited to) social networking, wikis, and content management systems.
  • Work with cross-departmental teams to implement web project requests and develop timeline on projects
  • Develop quality assurance process for rollout of new web content and design.
  • Manage all web projects, assuring the appropriate resource is defined and reserved, while maintaining the schedule and communication of results.
  • Support program marketing with lead generation campaigns
  • Develop SEO strategy, monitor and implement tactics to improve organic search results
  • Manage all site analytics and closely measure performance of web campaign components and usability
  • Manage web designer and work closely with IT web developers to take online projects from conception to production

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of Web 2.0 environment and evolving Web tools used to improve online presence and marketing efforts
  • Working knowledge of content management systems, with Joomla experience preferred but not essential.
  • Project management experience, with certification preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, organizational and consultative skills
  • Ability to understand customer experience and impact of user interface design
  • Demonstrated ability to write, edit and proof written content specific to target audience needs
  • Demonstrated ability in analysis, design, tool selection, and user assessment methodologies
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and familiar with basic software platforms and support technologies for content management
  • Language skills: Spanish a plus

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Communications or related field/or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 4+ years related Web Management experience
  • 5+ years experience in marketing and program implementation, project management, consulting and communication
  • Track record of successfully defining and managing subscriber-oriented Web
  • Experience developing road maps
