Mrs. Carter is an Australian teacher in this elementary school in Selma, North Carolina. She is teaching on a J1 cultural exchange visa, one of 1,800 foreign K-12 teachers brought in by a company called Visiting International Faculty Program.

Alan Young, Co-Founder and CEO, VIF Program:
Every school should have an international teacher as part of its approach to educating children. Our children need to thrive in a global marketplace. They need to be prepared for the jobs of the future.
